The Giant Balloon!!

Last weekend our neighborhood had a promotional thing. They planned to have food and there was a spongebob bouncy house. Noone could enjoy it because of the rain until the last day (late Sunday afternoon). Since it was the end of the promotion, those in charge let Jack have one of the giant balloons. I had stayed home with Ben so when I saw Sam and Jack walking down the street with this giant thing, it was just hilarious to say the least.

Of course we had to tie it on our fence in the back yard for all to see (until it drooped the next day).

This video of Sam running around with the balloon just doesn't do it justice. It was pee-your-pants funny in person.

Bananas, Sandbox and Love

I know it's not a big deal for Ben to eat a banana, but since my first child was such a gagger, it's nice to be able to just give Ben food and see that he handle it okay. The smacking noises are super fantastic as well.

I was tired of fighting off Ben with the sandbox. So, I let him go at it until he started to eat the sand.

I'm not sure what I was doing, but I looked down and Jack and Ben were loving on each other. By the time I got the camera, it just looked too posey. Cute during the authentic moment.

Neighbors and Lawn Care

My neighbor, Mary, got a new bike seat and offered to take Ben for a spin. He enjoyed it at first, then started to cry - so it lasted all of two minutes. He looks so cute.

Below are pictures of Jack mowing with me. It was cold and drizzling and he stayed the course with me. He even came in the house to tell Sam, "I'm sorry I can't play with you and Ben right now but Mommy needs my help". So sweet.

My mowin' buddy. I love how the ear protection squeeze his cheeks.

Happy Mother's Day to me

Today was great. I had a card from the boys and a card from Sam. Sam cooked my favorite meal (blackberry chicken) with made-from-scratch brownies. Oh, and I also received a dozen roses. Mama's love flowers, especially roses.

So, Ben is super clingy and it's hard for anyone to get anything done. We've decided that he's going to have to have "independent" time in the evenings if we ever want to get dinner ready. During his independent time tonight, he was snuggling with Mickey. So chilled and laid back until he started biting his nose.

Yummy nose.
My beautiful roses.

Zoo Trip

Sam was determined to go to the zoo while he was on vacation. I like the zoo, too, but Sam is a zoo fan through and through. Here are our pictures from the day. I was tired from my trip to Chicago and didn't have the motivation to take alot of pictures.

Jack and Ben in the van on the way. We were stuck in a traffic jam due to a fender-bender and what is more entertaining than taking pictures in the car?

At a stand-still, why not take a picture of the Arch? The view from the interstate.
I can't remember what these little things were called, but I thought they were precious how they snuggled together.
Jack posing with the artificial snake.
I believe this is at the Elephant display.
Poor elephants just paced around - the same path over and over.
He just doesn't look happy. But look at that enormous poop on the ground (how can you not be happy about that?)
A different elephant. She had a toy up on this tree that she would stop and play with. Bless her.
At the Seal fountain close to the entrance.
Mr. Lion looks like he has alot of stress in his life.
Jack enjoying his dip-n-dots at the end of our day.
Ben and his crazy milk-drinking (look at it all over his face).

Ben also enjoyed a cheese sandwich with his milk. It was a fun trip. We're going again with Jack's preschool class next Friday. Oh joy.

Lexington - Misc. pictures

Once again, I'm slacking on the blog. Sam's been on vacation and I haven't been on the computer much at all. Here are the last of the Lexington trip pictures.

Aunt Jen and Memom with Ben and Jack

Memom made a vanilla cake for Ben since he didn't like the chocolate one I made. It went a little better.

Jack and Nicholas loved having icing all over their mouth. According to them, it was the funniest thing in the world.
