Trick or Treat!

Halloween night! Ben was a white Tiger and Jack was Superman. Ben was not too happy about his costume at first as you will see. Jack stopped people while trick-or-treating, they were very impressed with his "superman hair". We had a great time with all of our neighbors. We have a fantastic neighborhood!

Trying to get Ben and Jack together before trick-or-treating. Ben isn't liking it.
Jack appears to be "laying hands on Ben" and praying about it.

Posing with Andrew who started the night out as a dinosaur, but when he saw Jack as Superman, he had to go in and change into Superman as well. Love his heart.

Sweet Ben didn't have a clue what on earth was going on. All these crazy people dressed up runnin' around. Insanity!

Blurry because they're on the move!
Okay, this is my award-winning picture of the night. This was a talking rock and I caught Jack's reaction when it started talking to him. I don't know what it said, but this cracks me up.

Ben trying to understand it all.
My friend, Lynsi, from MOPS lives in our neighborhood and her son dressed as spiderman. Here they are posing together. These make me laugh as well. Jack is a trip. Every year for Halloween, he does not disappoint with playing the part of whatever he's dressed up as.

We finally just started carrying Ben because he was warmer that way. He was such a good sport. Never complained once.

Here is Andrew changed into his Superman get up. He and Jack are good buds.

I had Sam take this so we could get a good look at the Superman hair.
After the fun was over...

Showing the tail on his "costume".
Oh, and the blue glasses have been passed down...

Misc. pictures

I just wanted to post some cute pictures I had left from the month. I feel like I've really slacked this month with blogging and with picture taking. Trip to Kentucky, teething, fevers, being sick myself, blah, blah, blah...

A couple of cheek pictures. Still not the caliber that Jack's were, but catching up.

Sitting and playing

I love it when they play together. Jack likes playing near Ben and cheers him on when he does something "right" with his toys, (I guess using them like they're meant to be used and not putting them in his mouth).

I made Jack come down to the floor for these.

Looks like they've both been hitting the bottle in this one :)

Smilin' and playin' the piano.

Laugh Factory

Last night, Jack and Sam were on a roll making Ben laugh. Of course I missed the best parts of it going to look for the camera. Since we've gone back to the hypo-allergenic formula and his tooth broke through, he's been a different baby - Happy!

Bath Time Fun!

Jack and Ben take bath together most nights (when Jack doesn't take a shower). Tonight, Jack decided to try to make Ben laugh and get in his face. They were so cute together and I ran to get the camera. I can't believe this is my first time taking pictures of them in the bathtub together.

After looking at this picture closer, I have decided that Ben's leg looks like the Michelin Man.

This is Ben's gang sign.

Ben at 7 months!

Ben is now 7 months-old and time is flying. He has been such a good baby until about three weeks ago. I hate writing that, but it's true. He was content, happy and slept wonderfully. Now, since teething entered the picture, his naps are crazy, he has trouble self-soothing, he doesn't seem as content while awake (probably from not napping as well). He still loves his brother, mama and daddy. We can all make him laugh and he is happy when he's well-rested. Here are some great shots of him the other day. I couldn't pick just one.

This outfit was Jack's. Ben is taller than Jack was and won't be able to wear it for much longer.

I love this picture of them sitting and playing together. It just kills me. Ben has mastered sitting up. But, he doesn't realize that he can't just throw himself backwards so we still have to put pillows around or sit extremely close by.

Jack is the best big brother. He just makes my heart sing how sweet he is, not just to his brother, but to everybody.
They were done sitting, evidently.

Memom's Kids

It has been so long since I've posted. Ben has been having some rough days which translates into me having less and less free time. His naps are getting unreliable and inconsistent and he has also been teething. It's amazing to me the difference in one child to another; I don't remember Jack having this much trouble with his worst teething (his top front).

Sam was off work last week and we headed to Lexington. It was also Mom's 60th birthday and Jennifer and the girls and her sister, Ginny surprised her. We had a surprise birthday party for her on Saturday. I don't have pictures of it as I was holding Ben when we walked in and Sam video-taped it. If I can figure out how to post from my video/DVD camera, I will post that later. Happy 60th, Mom. We come to your house, you feed us and house us and we bring messes, baby gear and a teething, fussy baby.

Memom's grandchildren: Nate, Lauren, Ben, Madison, Nicholas and Jack

I put this picture in here because of Nate and Jack. This picture is reminiscent of last summer's triangle park picture-attempts on a bench.

Jennifer and the girls.
I love this picture, I think it's great of all of them.
Papa Don took Ben off of mom's hands for a few minutes and I just love these pictures of the two of them. (hands in the mouth of course).
This is my favorite.

More Lexington

Hanging out at Neen's house. Ben has his fingers in his mouth because he was teething and fussy the entire time we were in Kentucky. It was miserable.

Jack enjoying a filthy, germ-infested indoor playground we went to on a rainy/cold day.
He kept asking every kid that came in if they wanted to play (bless him). One kid was really mean to him when he was wanting to play hide-n-seek. My sweet Jack. He just wants to make friends with everyone.

He was so sweet and good, I bought an ice-cream cone from Chik-fil-A. He thoroughly enjoyed it and wasn't thinking about that mean kid anymore.

Jack really practiced riding his scooter alot while at Memom's. He is getting so coordinated with his scooter - it's quite impressive.

Memom has a great flat driveway. We spent alot of time out there with fussy pants bundled up.

Fussy pants watching a baby Einstein. The only thing that would calm him down.
On our last night in Lexington, Ben was a mess. Fuss, fuss, fuss. Jack was just entertaining himself as you can see; pull-up on head, baby backpack on with all the baby supplies inside.

Thank goodness Aunt Shesha was there to help. Here she is sitting on the toilet:)
