Play time

Jack is fun to watch as he concentrates so much while playing. Playing is serious business. We love to hear him doing scenes from "Cars" when he thinks no one is listening.
Playing with "Thomas", but it's actually Edward. He has always called this train "Thomas".
Doc, Chick, Sherriff and Mr. The King from Cars.

AFTER SCHOOL

Jack did wonderful at school today. He was so happy when I picked him up and he carried on about how much fun he had today. That warmed my heart so much -until we got home and I tried to take his picture with his Abraham Lincoln mask on (it had a floppy hat). He didn't want any help and as you can tell, when I did try to help, I got a shot of his shoes. He wants to do everything himself.

Nice Hat!

Jack has been doing really well going on the potty, but for some odd reason, he's scared of pull-ups. Sam is always putting diapers on his head (clean ones), so I guess he thought this might work - not yet!

SNUGGLE TIME!

The love affair between Jack and Florence is flourishing. Florence constantly brushes up against him (giving hugs). Here are some pictures of them snuggling last week as Jack and I were both not feeling good and just bummin' around.

Funny things Jack has said in the last two days:

Mommy, I need some sugars...
Miss Sally kissed Lightning McQueen!
Oh no, what's going to happen?
I want the wall to be purple.
Mommy, I have a silly hand.
Ms. Tammy is sick today. (he didn't want to go to school, so I guess if he said his teacher was sick, he would be off the hook).

Jumpin' Jack

Jack has never been able to jump very well; here is a video of him practicing.

Home Movies

This morning Jack requested to "watch baby Jack". He's never asked to watch a video of himself. Here he is holding his cars (slippers too) watching a home movie. Serious business.

After Church

Jack was so good at church that he got to pick out a sticker to put on his chart. Once the chart is filled, he is going to pick out another character from Cars or a Thomas train.

Ahhh, the rewards for good behavior...sucker time!
(oh, and look at my good looking school bus sweater)

GOOF BALL

Since creating this blog, I've been carrying around the camera alot. Jack has now become quite the poser. Here are a few pictures of him really hammin' it up just for the camera.

Only a boy will say: "Mommy is a girl- oh mommy, I toot-toot" in the same breath.

Happy Valentines Day, everyone.

Jack pee-peed on the potty last night before bath. Yea!

MANNERS!

We've been working on please and thank you for a while now. Here is a video of Jack eating his "dinner cookies" (which are actually teddy grahams).
Florence would always run when she saw Jack coming. But now, she loves being near him and loves for him to pet her. She is such a sweet kitty and will lay in Jack's lap if he isn't too busy for her. Here's a shot of them this morning.
As you can see, watching Cars is serious business at our house. Jack holds his character die-cast cars while watching. Last night "Sherriff" was the chosen one. Sam enjoys Cars as well - can't you tell?

Jack and cousin Nicholas.

Despite his protests this morning of 'I don't want to go to school', Jack had a great day at Mother's Day Out. Jack goes to "school" every Tuesday and Friday. We've been dealing with some behavior issues (hitting) so I was thrilled to get a glowing report from his teacher. She said that he was the helper of the day and chosen to apply the number to the calendar. He sang songs and ate all of his lunch (except for a few raisins). He is my son after all. Nothing gets in the way of food.

This summer in Belleville at our new house. Jack loves Cars and tractors.
Early pictures up to 9 months old.

Jack's first posting

Well, blogging seems to be the thing to do these days. I'm only 32 but I find it difficult to keep up with all the new technology. When I first heard the word blogger, my first thought was that it had something to do with flogging. Don't ask me why, it just rhymned I guess. Anyway, I thought since I am a slacker mom who hasn't produced a baby book, nor have I attempted to start a scrapbook of my son, I might as well blog (or get flogged). I'm so new to this, I have yet to even take any recent pictures of Jack to put in my first posting. So, I will go back to the archives and produce some old ones for starters. As I get the hang of things, I'll probably be more interesting to read. . . but don't count on it.
