More Lexington

Hanging out at Neen's house. Ben has his fingers in his mouth because he was teething and fussy the entire time we were in Kentucky. It was miserable.

Jack enjoying a filthy, germ-infested indoor playground we went to on a rainy/cold day.
He kept asking every kid that came in if they wanted to play (bless him). One kid was really mean to him when he was wanting to play hide-n-seek. My sweet Jack. He just wants to make friends with everyone.

He was so sweet and good, I bought an ice-cream cone from Chik-fil-A. He thoroughly enjoyed it and wasn't thinking about that mean kid anymore.

Jack really practiced riding his scooter alot while at Memom's. He is getting so coordinated with his scooter - it's quite impressive.

Memom has a great flat driveway. We spent alot of time out there with fussy pants bundled up.

Fussy pants watching a baby Einstein. The only thing that would calm him down.
On our last night in Lexington, Ben was a mess. Fuss, fuss, fuss. Jack was just entertaining himself as you can see; pull-up on head, baby backpack on with all the baby supplies inside.

Thank goodness Aunt Shesha was there to help. Here she is sitting on the toilet:)

Jack's first Shower

Jack decided he wanted to take a shower -" just try it out", he said. Of course he wanted to take his shower in our bathroom.

He did great! He loved it and took another one the next night. Is he growing up fast or what?

So Ben and I came in after his bath to take pictures. I thought Ben looked extra handsome.

We're starting to see curls.

The other night, it was chilly outside so I grabbed an old hat of Jack's for Ben to wear. He looked so edible.

Aaaaahhhhh, such a yummy face!

More Orchard/weekend pictures

These are Leeann's pictures that she sent via email from the weekend:

There's just really no caption worthy of this picture...

Out to dinner at The Wine Tap, our go-to place here in the metropolis.

Enjoying our date night out.
Uncle Todd and Jack, hanging out together.

Leeann and Todd Visit

Saturday, Leeann and Todd came to visit for the first time. Saturday night we went on a double date and Sunday we went to Eckert's Orchard to ride on the tractor-pulled wagon and pick apples. It was so much fun and we enjoyed their visit so much. Jack really took to Todd and Candylanded him out!

Getting ready to board the wagon.
Scrumptious Ben wearing Jack's hat. (We forgot to pack one for him)

Todd and Leeann on the wagon, ready to go!

We were the first people on this wagon so there was plenty of picture-taking time.
Lets just say we like BIG sunglasses.

Jack picking Golden delicious.

Most of the trees were well-picked and all the apples were way too high.

Ben was such an angel, even when we went way past his naptime.
This is the time Jack was getting super-tired. Grouchy tired.
Oh, but there's a huge rock (which perked him up for a few minutes).
A little less enthusiastic about the gigantic pumpkins.
Jack was totally ready for his nap at 11:30am when we got home.

Ben is 6 months old! Where does the time go?

Lovin' the cheeks. They just keep bloomin'.

He was so fascinated with the flash of the camera.

Jack loves Ben so much. He is content to hang out with Ben any time.

Jack even shares his blue "b" with Ben. That is love.

Snuggling.

A little bumbo time.

Mesmerized by something on tv. . . probably a woman.

Kisses from Memom.

Jumperoo and Happy Noises

We've had the jumperoo for a while but Ben would just hang in it and play with the toys. On Friday, he got the gist of it and started jumping. With his biggest cheerleading rooting him on, Ben is really loving the jumperoo. I love the happy noises he makes while jumping (if you can hear them over Jack's cheering).

I'm overdue posting this picture

I took this picture back in July while in Kentucky. I was changing Ben and Jack was on the bed with him. They were being so cute together and I had my cell phone with me and took several pictures (why it's a little fuzzy). I got lucky and captured Ben sticking out his tongue. He likes to do that, but it's hard to capture with the camera. I think this is such a cute picture.

"Dinosaur Train"

KET has a new show called, "Dinosaur Train". I thought it was a little young for Jack, but it teaches about dinosaurs, and hey, that's educational...and he liked it. So, yesterday he learned about the triceratops and that they are herbivores (plant eaters to the layperson:). We head outside to wait for the bus for school and he sees a leaf on the ground and picks it up. He then stuffs it in his short's pocket and says, "I'm going to save this leaf. I'm going to feed it to a herbivore when I get home and see one." Not only did he learn about herbivores, he applied it appropriately. Children are amazing little sponges.

Mowing never gets old

Jack has been "mowing" with Sam for a long time. It never gets old watching them interact and give each other the thumbs up sign. Watching Jack maneuver the levers on his lawn mower the second after Sam maneuvers something on his mower. It's priceless. He calls out to me when getting ready, "where are my ear protections?" (always putting an /s/ on the end). It's serious business.

I love the cheeks. When the ear protection starts slipping, it looks like someone is squeezing his cheeks. Oh, and he talks super loud while wearing them, it's so hilarious.

Giving the thumbs up!

At the end of the video, it sounds like he is telling Sam that I'm taking his temperature.
